First Steps Dress for Baby Knitted

This is Bernat's, First Steps Baby Dress ,knitted pattern.  It is easy to do and works up really nice.  I just added some small roses to the neck edging to add some flare.  Here is the link for the pattern located at Bernat's website.

Crochet Throw Rug

This is a crochet throw rug made from about 50 left over rolls of yarns from various projects.  I used double worsted yarn using single crochet.  The fringe is 5" long and I used different colors of yarn. I needed a break from a crochet daisy lace bedspread I am making, which is almost complete.  I make these throw rugs for the bathroom or kitchen and it uses up all the leftover yarns that I store up over time.

Aran (Fisherman's) Sweater Crochet

Here again I uploaded these pictures for those of you who are at home and under a bed of snow and now want to crochet a heavy aran sweater.  The pattern is located here:

I changed the sleeves to all lobster stitch as you can see and also changed the neckline to make adaptable for the individual who will be wearing it..  It is like a made to order crochet house.  I like the lobster stitch for the sleeves a lot better than the original pattern stated and I added ribbing to the waist and sleeves, looks nicer.

Anyway, enjoy the winter while it lasts.

Lacy Baby Blanket to knit

This is the project I was working on this last month.  It is a soft lacy baby blanket.  I used a double stranded lightweight acrylic.  It is a soft heavy blanket appropriate for the winter.  I use mostly free patterns on the net because they are absolutely beautiful....and why not.  The pattern is a Bernat pattern and its link is  .  You will have to sign in of course but it is free to make an account.  I will make a sweater, hat, and booties to go with this blanket but I am searching for a pattern that I would like.  Than I can give it away as a complete gift set.

Northshore Cardigan for Men

This is my first knitted sweater for adults and I found the pattern on the  Lion Brand website.  It was relatively easy to do.  It was more time consuming than difficult and worth the wait.  I used worsted yarn  and it came out rather nicely.  You can find the pattern at . You will have to make a free account but they have many free patterns that are wonderful.  Enjoy and Happy Holidays to All.

Aran Sweater for Men (fisherman)

I made this lovely sweater for my son.  I usually make this sweater as a turtleneck but I just made a short ribbed collar so he could wear it with his dress shirts.  It is quite warm but with the expense of heating oil today, I feel we all will be wearing heavier sweaters sooner than later.  Here is the pattern link

I made some alterations to the original pattern.  I added ribbing to the waist and sleeves for a more finished look. I hope you enjoy making the sweater as I did.  Enjoy!

Blossoms Table Runner

Here is a beautiful table runner filled with different colored blossoms.  I modified the arrangement of blossoms to my own taste.  It is made by making small squares and than sewing them together. It is a slightly long process but worth the effort.  Here is the link located at

Knitted baby jacket & hat

This is my second attempt at knitting before I attempt a bigger project for myself.   I got this pattern from Drops Designs, which has a huge selection of free patterns to download.

I made a lot of mistakes but I am getting very familiar with the art of knitting and my mistakes should be  making me a better knitter. Only time will tell.

Baby Afghan and Sweater Set-Knitted

This is my first time knitting. I decided to do something small from Lionbrand patterns.  It takes much more time than crocheting, but I do like it very much.  I hope to incorporate both knitting and crochet in my future pieces.  I have given you the link for the pattern.  It makes a great gift for a new baby.

Teddy Bear Girly

Here is the lovely teddy bear completed with my own creative design in clothing.  I have included the link for the teddy bear.  The link has the teddy bear skin as well as different clothing to fit to the bear.  Enjoy.

Teddy Bear Girly

I included a close up look of her pierced belly with a piece of dangling jewelry.  Her ears are also pierced with numerous earrings to match those of the young teenagers today.

Teddy Bear Girly

This is a crochet teddy bear pattern that I followed for the bear's skin.  However I free formed her clothes to my own liking.  I had too much fun making this and thought she looked adorable when I was finished.

Dainty Lace Pullover

This sweet pattern you will at Interweave Knitting Daily section called the Frosted Plum Pullover, except I did not do it in plum colors.  You will find it located here

It is truly an adorable pullover to wear with slants or jeans.  I did some small modifications but it turned out nicely.  It follows the nice contour of your body.  You can weave the ribbon thru the middle section, but I left that out.

Oval Doily with Ruffle

This is a extremely beautiful doily and doesn't take much time to complete.  However, I went to Celt's Vintage site to get the link for the pattern and they are no longer there.  Unfortunately, it was a wonderful site with many free patterns.  I love making the old patterns and this one turned out beautiful.  So for those who want to search for the pattern it is Oval Pineapple Ruffle
